Proceedings of the 6th European sCO₂ Conference now available in open access
The Proceedings of the 6th European Conference on Supercritical CO₂ (sCO₂) for Energy Systems are now available in open access (INCRUSTAR LINK A LOS PROCEEDINGS), including five contributions presented by ISOP Doctoral Candidates during the conference held in Delft on 9–11 April 2025. Together, these works showcase the multidisciplinary research carried out within ISOP, spanning advanced power cycle configurations, transient operation, turbomachinery and heat exchanger design (PONERLOS COMO BULLET POINT): High temperature nuclear cogeneration utilizing supercritical CO₂ for enhanced thermal efficiency — Babras Khan (DC3), Jan Stepanek and Vaclav Dostal; Dynamic Analysis of CO₂-SO₂ Recompression Rankine Cycle Using Waste Heat — Matěj Jeřábek (DC5), Václav Dostál, Lorenzo Cosi, Emanuela Alfarano and Francesco Fantozzi; Low- and high-fidelity modeling of the flow in a multi-stage axial turbine for supercritical carbon dioxide power systems — Muhammad Nouman Saleem (DC10), Andrea Paggini, Lorenzo Cosi, Giordana Marcon and Giacomo Persico; Numerical Investigation of Header Design Parameters for Enhanced Flow Distribution in Minichannel Printed Circuit Heat Exchangers for Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Applications — Ahmad Ali Awais (DC12), Markus Hofer, Michael Buck, Sarah Tioual-Demange and Jörg Starflinger; Thermodynamic benchmarking of sCO₂ Allam cycle against alternative oxy-fuel cycles: a comparative analysis — Ihtishamul Haq (DC6), Andreas Werner and Markus Haider. These contributions reflect the breadth of the ISOP research programme and its focus on addressing key scientific and technological challenges for the next generation of sCO₂ energy systems.
